What is the Gospel

"Gospel" is a word that simply means "good news."

The central message of the Bible is good news for us. Scripture tells us that ever since Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, all of creation has been stuck in sin. To this day we still feel the effects of sin: relationships are torn apart, death & disease run rampant, and creation continues to show signs of its own decay. Sin not only damages earthly relationships, it also separates us from our relationship with God.

The good news of the Bible is that God has provided a way to set us free from sin and to restore what sin has destroyed. God sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus lived the perfect life that we could not; and died the death we deserve, as the only way to bring forgiveness from sin.

This salvation is freely offer to all those who turn away from sin, and turn to Jesus, trust Him to be their Lord and Saviour!
